One tree that is part of the Cedar Circle, a quiet place of driftwood cedar columns implanted with metal strips and a cedar tree trunk that predates the coming of Lewis and Clark. This circle was designed by Maya Lin as part of the Confluence Project, which commemorates the Lewis and Clark Expedition to the Pacific Northwest (1804-6).
